The 15th bunker on the Abbotts has undergone a rethink.  The rolled down face has been removed with the remaining space filled to the top with sand.  This will make the bunker play slightly easier but the payoff will be a much more intimidating shot from the tee, bunker should be ready for sand early next week.



Edging on the Priors continues, as you can see from the picture the Deputy watches on while the other guys do the work.  Well trained!

A team visit to Hainault Golf Club today has allowed us to see both the good and bad ideas at other venues and we can catch up with our peers on new ideas and techniques practiced by other Course Managers.

The bunker on the left of the 15th Abbotts having the face dropped.  This bunker was becoming dangerous particularly for my guys with the larger machinery around the top face.   We will try not to lose the difficulty or the 'look' from the tee.

 

New tweek to the face of the 13th bunker, lowered, sand dug out and topsoil replaced.
